In The Kitchen: A Roman Feast

Sam kneaded the dough.

He is our best kneader.

Don't you just love the look of a flour sack towel over a bowl of rising dough?
(Don't notice the flour still on the table that wasn't cleaned up until after this photo.)

A third of the dough was formed into Olive rolls.

Another third was made into cinnamon rolls.
The last third was made into a loaf of white bread.

In addition to the breads, our Roman feast was Roasted Chicken glazed with garum (fish sauce that Roman's loved), Garbanzo Bean salad, grilled fish... and artichokes, which was the first time the kids had this.
