Scones




3 Tab. Butter
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 cup milk
2 Tab. Sugar OR 2 Tabs. sugar and 2/3 cup raisins OR 2/3 cup grated cheddar cheese

Rub together butter and flour to make crumbs. Add sugar or sugar and fruit or cheese. Pour in milk. Stir with a knife. Make a ball. Flour a surface and flatten to about 1 inch thick, but don't handle dough too much. Put on a greased cookie sheet . Cut into 8 sections. Brush with milk. Bake for 25 minutes in a pre-heated 425 degree F oven.
