1 pound ground pork, beef or meatloaf mix
Onion (or onion powder)
1 Cup Rice
½ Cup Bread Crumbs
2 (15-ounce) containers, chicken or vegetable stock
1 (28-ounce) can concentrated crushed tomatoes
Head of Cabbage
Mix Ground meat with egg, onion, rice, bread crumbs, and ½ can of crushed tomatoes .
Chop up cabbage.
Sprinkle 1/4 can of crushed tomatoes and half of the stock on bottom of crock pot. Break up meat and put a layer on bottom, next layer some cabbage, then a layer of the rest of the crushed tomatoes and the other half of the stock. Or, you can divide the ingredients and keep layering meat, cabbage, tomato soup.
Cook on Low 6-8 hours or high 4-5 hours.
We always serve ours over/with mashed potatoes!
