To make these, use your favorite standard muffin recipe, and make your muffin batter. Place muffin wrappers in your muffin tin. Use any variety of berries. We used blueberries, blackberries and raspberries, but you could use strawberries or any other berries you like. You only need one berry for each muffin, or if the berries are small like blueberries, you might want to put two or three in each muffin. Roll your berries in granulated sugar. This is a really great activity for the youngest members of the family who yearn to help in the kitchen but are not quite old enough to do much yet. Fill the muffin cups about 1/3 way full. I found this was about 1 generous scoop with a spoon. Place a sugared berry in the middle of the batter in the muffin cut. Add more muffin batter to each cup until they are about 2/3 - 3/4th full. Bake according to your muffin recipe. Some of the berries may leak out a bit, but don't worry. It's still a surprise as the berries look similar when they are cooked. ENJOY!!
